鐵石酒廠的精選摩岱奇是由酒廠管理者史提夫米勒親自挑選葡萄且皆是最有潛力釀出濃郁好酒的果實. 用獨特手工技巧採摘成串的葡萄, 每個新年份皆呈現出精選系列的獨特風格, 此酒主要來自墨非(西瑞山腳)經常被形容為最頂級的寶石,精選摩岱奇紅酒在此區為最高品質的代表. 此酒發酵後放入法國與美國橡木桶中陳年, 然後在恆溫的地窖中為期20個月漸漸成熟, 非但減低酒精的力道也不失酒本身的濃郁, 是一款優雅的波爾多型葡萄酒,口感多元而豐富.

精選摩岱奇散發放了誘人的黑莓果醬香味, 並多層次帶有薄荷及白胡椒香料味, 口中充滿了流連不去的香草及黑莓香.

The Reserve Meritage is an exceptionally elegant full-bodied wine that displays aromas of berries and jam layered with mint, fresh herbs, cola and cassis. Blackberries and jam carry through to the palate with hints of vanilla and a light peppery spice followed by a delightfully smooth finish.

精選摩岱奇是一款優雅的波爾多型葡萄酒,口感多元而豐富,搭配的菜餚廣泛且多元,從簡單的起士,清淡巧達起士,荷蘭扁圓起士及布里乳酪到威靈頓牛肉,還有搭配蔬菜燉煮的牛肉湯,磨菇雞或碳烤小牛肉是絕佳組合.

The Bordeaux varietals that are blended to create our Meritage have both strong and soft characteristics making this an exceptional choice for a wide variety of dishes. From simple cheese plates filled with mild cheddar, Gouda and warm brie to a classic Beef Wellington, this wine is a must. It's also wonderful with a hearty beef stew, chicken in mushroom sauce or roast veal with a red wine demiglaze.

1988年時舉辦了一場混釀葡萄酒的命名比賽,最後得獎的是“Meritage”,這是“merit”與“heritage”的組合字.所有Meritage紅酒都必須要含有兩種或更多規定的紅酒葡萄(Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Gros Verdot, St. Macaire and Carmenere),且其中任一種葡萄所佔的比例不得超過該酒的90%,這個規定亦適用於Meritage白酒 ( Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle).
